Liberals Kill 40 At School

Is there any question that fighting should be stopped through international intervention if necessary:

"A single Israeli strike kills at least 40 at a school, the third involving UN-run schools on the same day."

Here.

Another few days is unacceptable. We are guilty already and worse if we continue just standby. It's time for leadership, Mr. Ignatieff, at the least from you; we can expect nothing from our Prime Minister.

To continue with some moral leadership...

"UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called it "totally unacceptable" that Israeli bombardments would strike near four UN facilities - three schools and a health centre - where Palestinians had sought refuge in Gaza.

Some 15,000 Palestinians have packed the UN's 23 Gaza schools because their homes were destroyed or to flee the violence. The UN provided the Israeli military with GPS co-ordinates for all of them."

I agree - we need foreign intervention - immediately.

... Don't like your post title, however.

Your post title does tend to hit like a brick wall, and not in a "wow, I just woke up to some vital realization" kinda way. Rather, it's more like a "get out of my freakin face" kind of reaction, which is probably not the direction in which you were aiming.

The Liberal Party of Canada is NOT responsible for the death of 40 people in a school in Gaza today.

Unless, of course, you also buy into the equally stupid "extension" argument that says "Liberals love terrorists" because they believe in basic human rights that might also happen to apply to those accused of terrorist acts.

I place your post in its current form into the same category as many BT posts that insist on shoving everyone into extreme caricatures instead of acknowledging that most people are very hurt, fearful and genuinely concerned at what is transpiring in the world today (Gaza and elsewhere).

Why don't you address your posts to those people who genuinely care and are open to learning instead of just participating in the lobbing of rhetorical bombs at the staunch end posts of either extreme?

I quess the Hamas mortar crew firing
from beside or within the school and using it as a shield were also Liberal.

How does anyone know the truth about this supposed Hamas rocket/mortar battery firing from the cover of the school? Because Israel says so?

Major Paeta Hess-von Kruedener. Remember that name. Remember what Israeli forces did to him and his unarmed UN observation post in Lebanon two years ago. Remember all the rank bullshit that came pouring out of the Israelis then. Remember how Harper couldn't drop to his knees fast enough to accept Israel's fictitious story and blame Hezbollah before an enquiry proved the Israelis were lying.

There is nothing admirable about "parsing" one's words delicately when you sit on your hands.

I do not believe in killing other human beings.

My leaders who CAN participate in international politics do not take steps to prevent the killing of humans and so I feel they are guilty of inaction and thus partly, in a holistic way (obviously) responsible for the killing of human beings, "guilty" or "innocent".

Perhaps we should be debating the death penalty stance of the Liberal party given our inaction.

Mr. Ignatieff is not Stockwell Day. Iggy was Director of Harvard's human rights institute for 5 years! He is most certainly a figure in the global project for peace. He has no excuse for playing dimwitted Canadian politics, if that's what he's doing.

Jon Stewart is more involved.
